About
Anna Ryan is a songwriter, vocalist and performer based in Bath, UK. With over a decade of experience in live and recorded music settings, Anna has worked as a session vocalist across an eclectic mix of artists and genres, the likes of Pete Josef, Diz Undone (aka MC Dizraeli) and The Manatees to name a few.
A seasoned songwriter, Anna has performed in several original projects in recent years that have allowed her to develop an artistic presence across various genres and scenes. Folk duo 'Paper & the Girl', neo soul band 'Water for Honey' and art rock band 'Stand to Order'. Her current artist project is trip hop/alt rock duo 'iowna' with long term collaborator Joe Frost (HAAL, The Manatees). The duo are in the process of finishing their debut EP, with plans to release in the new year, launching live in their local city of Bristol.

Anna and Joe also make up 'FieldWorm Audio', a creative technology business, specialising in composing sound design to accompany work by visual artists, for exhibitions, installations and live shows. They have been developing the business as part of a 2 year artist residency programme at 'EMERGE artist studios' at Sion Hill Campus, Bath. A stand out project was the Alt Wilderness exhibition (Fringe Arts Bath, 2024). This saw a collaboration with local creative technologists Polymathic and Dave Webb, to build a 16ft geodesic dome, housing an immersive, generative art exhibition with a sound design piece to accompany the projected visual art work.
In addition to her experience as a writer and performer, Anna has a 1st class degree in Commercial Music (Bath Spa University) and is now offering coaching services in singing, songwriting and performance to empower music lovers of varying abilities to start to create and perform music of their own, to realise the joy of music making.
